Physician Assistant

Veronica Cordero was born in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. Both of her parents were born in Ecuador and immigrated to the United States as children. She is fluent in English and proficient in Spanish.

She attended the University of California, Davis, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following this, she completed the Physician Assistant program at the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, graduating in December 2023.

She was drawn to the Physician Assistant profession for several reasons:

  • To promote healthy lifestyles and prevent chronic medical conditions through education and guidance – To empower patients with knowledge about their medical conditions, enabling them to make informed decisions
  • To overcome language barriers in healthcare by leveraging her proficiency in Spanish, thereby improving care for Spanish-speaking patients
  • To engage with underserved communities and contribute to their healthcare improvement In her free time,

She enjoys a variety of hobbies, including baking, camping, refining her Spanish skills, caring for animals, gardening, and spending quality time with family.
